Private sales/Auctions
A closed auction, run like a private matter.
For a collection, several comparable pieces or an estate: a tender among invited bidders, with a fixed calendar, a reserve you agree, and a written result.
The format
Invitation only, sealed bids, one date.
The same discipline as a public sale, without the room, the press and the photographs.
Valuation and reserve
We review each object, agree condition notes and a reserve with you in writing. Nothing is offered below it.
Reserves are set by the owner. Our view is advice, not a guarantee of result.
Invited bidders
Bidders are named, checked and invited individually. Each receives the catalogue extract for the lots they can bid on, under their own confidentiality undertaking.
Sealed bids
Bids are submitted in writing by a stated hour, opened together, and reported to you in a single schedule. Highest bid above reserve wins; no bidder learns another's figure.
Completion
Payment, inspection and delivery are handled on the terms in the sale agreement. Settlement is confirmed before any object is released.
Sales run by invitation, usually over two weeks
Indicative calendar
Weeks, not months.
Timing depends on the objects and on how quickly owners and bidders respond. A firm calendar is written into the mandate before the sale starts.
What fits
Objects that reward a small, serious audience.
Watches and jewellery with papers. Bronzes, paintings and works on paper with a traceable history. Instruments, arms, books, archives and complete collections that would be split and lost on an open platform.
We do not run sales of ordinary household goods, and we do not take lots we cannot describe accurately. Where an object needs a specialist authentication before it can be sold, we say so and arrange it.
FastNass Solutions is not an auction house licensed under a cantonal auctioneer regime. Sales are run as private mandates on behalf of the owner. If a file needs a licensed auctioneer or a public sale, we say so before anything is committed.
A first look
Send the inventory, or just the piece.
A photograph and a short description are enough for us to tell you whether a private auction is the right route.
